I was cleanning off the counter in preparation for lunch when Annalie wandered through the kitchen. She spied the can of tuna and said " Oh, tuna for lunch? Cool!"
I gestured to the piece of cardboard shaped like a braket -> [,an insert from a shipping box, sitting next to the tuna. I said, "You can have that if you want to it, to draw on or play with"

clean off : to remove the dirt from something
ex) I cleaned the mud off my shoes
clean up : to make a place completely clean and neat to remove objects from a place in order to make it completely clean and neat
ex) I'm going to clean up in here this afternoon.

in prepartion for : ~의 준비[대비]로
wander : -를 돌아다니다. 어떠한 방향성을 두거나 별생각없이(in a casual way),
뒤에 나오는 것들이 전+명사로 나온다.
즉, along the street, through the town, down the street, in the forest
spy : 스파이라고 보면된다. 스파이가 동사로 쓰이면 찾아내다 발견하다.. 라는 의미도 되네!!
next to : 와 나란이, -에 이어 : 바로 옆이라는 의미, by와 거의 비슷하나, next to는 둘사이아 아무것!!도 없는... 바로 옆이 강하다..

이 짧은 문장을 설명하기 위해 이런 첨삭이 필요하다니... ㅠ,.ㅠ
